Holly Horn - Artist

Holly's love for watercolor started at an early age and she continues to appreciate this medium. As an art workshop presenter, she enjoys helping students more fully realize their natural artistic talent.
She also designs and creates original murals in water media for homes and businesses.
 

Holly studied art at the University of Kansas, and has participated in numerous painting workshops in the U.S., Mexico and Italy with internationally recognized artists. View samples of Holly's fine art and work as a mural painter here

 

Holly Horn - Educator

Holly has taught Spanish at Lindbergh High School, St. Louis University, the University of Missouri-St. Louis, St. Charles Community College, and OASIS, and at companies where Spanish is a requirement. Her main focus since 1983 has been tutoring individuals and small groups, from grade school through college level. Drawing on the strengths of each individual, Holly creates a comfortable, encouraging learning environment. She is sensitive to the needs of students with learning challenges such as  ADD/ADHD, learning disorders, eating disorders, and Dyslexia. She also serves as a bilingual interpreter for hospitals, psychologist's offices, and government facilities.  

Students consistently sense Holly's deep and abiding faith in their potential. For over 25 years, her nurturing support has given countless students the confidence and enthusiasm to strive for Spanish language fluency. Holly customizes her tutoring to the individual strengths and learning style of each student, keeping the learning sessions light-hearted and interesting.

Holly not only enjoys helping more gifted students achieve their goals, she welcomes both the challenges and the rewards of working with students verging on failing their classes
